Santa Cruz is a province in southern Argentina, located in the region of Patagonia. It borders the province of Chubut to the north and Chile to the west and south, and has an Atlantic coastline to the east. Santa Cruz’s most visited destination is Los Glaciares National Park and its many glaciers, the most famous of which is the Perito Moreno Glacier. Perito Moreno National Park and its lakes, located north of Los Glaciares, are rarely visited. Other notable destinations include the city of Río Gallegos, the Petrified Forest at Bosques Petrificados National Monument, and the Laguna del Carbón depression near Puerto San Julián.
